Marshmellow
Meet Marshmellow
- Breed: Marshmellow is a miniature white Schnauzer. I breed her with a Red Poodle with solid Red breeding lines. This will cause her to throw apricot Schnoodle pups, a coloration which can lighten or even deepen toward redder tones over the first two years of the puppy's life.
- Size: Marshmellow is a miniature white Schnauzer. Height at shoulder: 13 inches. Weight: 13 lbs. Schnoodle puppies generally will fall within an average of their parents' sizes when they reach full maturity.
- Temperament: The temperament of the parents/breed is a strong indicator of the puppies' temperaments, but environmental factor are just as important.. Marshmellow is a very loyal and affectionate dog. Though my other dogs will curl up on my lap or on the couch beside me, Marshmellow likes to keep herself planted on the ground close to my feet. She loves to play with my grandchildren when they come over after school, but as soon as she is done, she returns to my feet, as if to say, "Just to be clear, this is my human." Marshmellow is very communicative. I always know when she has a need because she talks to me with her eyes and leads me to something that reveals what her need is. She is respectful of her human companions, never rough. Occasionally, she stands up on her hind feet and waves one paw in the air as if to say, "The present matter will require your immediate attention." But with the other dogs, she joyfully reciprocates in puppy rough-housing. But Marshmellow is the Alpha. She lets the other dogs know when its time to go out and play, when its time to come back in, when its time to eat, when its time to go to their beds.

Phantasia
Meet Phantasia
- Breed: Phantasia is a miniature Phantom Schnauzer. I intend to breed her with a Red Poodle with solid Red breeding lines. This will cause her to throw Schnoodle pups of various coloration. Since the Phantom pattern originates in a recessive, pups will only have the Phantom pattern if the Sire also passes this gene. Phanta's pups will have more variety in their color and pattern than my white Schnauzers' pups. When bred with a Red Poodle, Phantasia has thrown solid apricot puppies similar to those of a white Schnauzer, and solid black puppies.
- Size: Height at shoulder: 13 inches. Weight: 13 lbs. Schnoodle puppies generally will fall within an average of their parents' sizes when they reach full maturity.
- Temperament: The temperament of the parents/breed is a strong indicator of the puppies' temperaments, but environmental factor are just as important.. Phantasia is a very affectionate dog. She loves to curl up in my lap, though she is usually content just to sit on the couch beside me. She loves to give "kisses", little licks on the hands, and when a child lets her, on the nose to show affection, but she is never sloppy about it. Phantasia is very smart -- we wondered whether we should have called her "Houdini" because as a pup she seemed to have the remarkable ability to escape from any pen we put her in. She learned how to use the new doggie door almost immediately, and then helped Calliope learn to use it as well. Phanta is also a very family oriented. When we first adopted Calliope, she immediately took her in as a little sister and showed her the ropes. Phanta is also very athletic: my son calls her "The Flying Phantom" because she loves to leap into his lap from halfway across the room! She also will find the highest place she can to sleep or survey the room. When we have let her hair grow long and scruffy -- my son likes the "Benji" look -- she reminds me of a proud lion as she calmly surveys the room from her perch. Phanta loves children and other dogs and looks forward to visits at my daughter's house where she knows there is plenty of fun to be had! Phantasia is very respectful by nature. Without any training, she learned to stand away from us when we were eating, ready to be treated if we so chose, but never demanding. She will lift a snack gingerly from your hand and then step back to her place to enjoy it. Phantasia is a team player. She lets Marshmellow and Calliope chose the game, and then she joyfully participates. Sometimes the game is "Everyone Pile on Phanta", but since Phantasia is the most athletic of the bunch, she always escapes to the safety of some height when she has had enough, ready to dive in again at a moment's pleasure.
Calliope
Meet Calliope
- Breed: Calliope is a miniature white Schnauzer. I intend to breed her with a Red Poodle with solid Red breeding lines. This will cause her to throw apricot Schnoodle pups, a coloration which can lighten or even deepen tones over the first two years of the puppy's life.
- Size: Height at shoulder: 13 inches. Weight: 13 lbs. Schnoodle puppies generally will fall within an average of their parents' sizes when they reach full maturity.
- Temperament: The temperament of the parents/breed is a strong indicator of the puppies' temperaments, but environmental factor are just as important. Calliope is easily the most playful of our dogs. Though she mellowed, she never quite grew out of that aspect of the puppy phase. Calli loves to explore the woods around our house, and when given the option, she will spend most of the day playing outside rather than come indoors. But Calli is not a loner: if she cannot coax another dog to go out to play with her, then she will play inside. Calli loves a snack. If she even suspects that someone may be going to the fridge to get her a treat, she will run to her crate or pen, or wherever she anticipates the treat is likely to be dispensed.. There she will shift her weight back and forth from one foot to the other, licking her lips in anticipation. Her favorite treats are carrots, pineapple, and celery.
Phoebe
Meet Phoebe
- Breed: Phoebe is a miniature white Schnauzer. I intend to breed her with a Red Poodle with solid Red breeding lines. This will cause her to throw apricot Schnoodle pups, a coloration which can lighten or even deepen tones over the first two years of the puppy's life. Phoebe's coat is the softest of our dogs, and when we let it grow out, she looks like a soft poofy teddy bear more than a miniature Schnauzer.
- Size: Height at shoulder: 12 inches. Weight: 11 lbs. Schnoodle puppies generally will fall within an average of their parents' sizes when they reach full maturity.
- Temperament: The temperament of the parents/breed is a strong indicator of the puppies' temperaments, but environmental factor are just as important. Phoebe learned playfulness from her older sister Calliope when she was just a puppy. The two are inseparable! Phoebe is more of a homebody than Calli, however, and will not venture far from the house and is quick to return inside unless someone is outside playing with her. Phoebe learned many of Calli's behaviors, such as running to her crate whenever someone opens the fridge in hopes of a snack, but Phoebe is full of patience and will lay in her crate quietly while she awaits her reward. Phoebe is our "hairdresser" -- she likes to groom the other dogs with her tongue, licking their beards and ears so that everyone is presentable.
